Fan, electric, large table model which oscillated. Marked "WESTINGHOUSE" on front. On back plate is "Style # 16873-A / Serial LB" Also states "Westinghouse Elec. & Mfg E. Springfield Works Springfield Mass . Black color, base is corroded and rusty. Found during spring clean-up 2008.
Westinghouse maintained a large manufacturing plant in Springfield making a variety of electronic products. Electric fans, like this one, were a very popular product in the 1920s in an era before modern air-conditioners.
