Smith & Wesson Third Model .38 caliber Single Action Revolver, 1893. Three and one-quarter inch long barrel. Hammer and trigger guard are case hardened. The grips are Mother-of-Pearl with a monogram. The frame, barrel and cylinder are gold plated and engraved by Oscar Young for the Columbian Exposition in 1893.
This revolver was engraved for the Colombian Exposition of 1893 and shows the similarity of engraving style between Gustave Young and his son Oscar Young.
