Book of Smith and Wesson business correspondence organized alphabetically by company/sender General business correspondence including inquiries about guns, parts and repairs from individuals, resalers, and companies; letters and invoices from suppliers about materials; employment inquiries; etc. These letters provide insight into numerous industries and supply chains involved in manufacturing. Many letters discuss materials such as metals (steel, iron, and nickel), specialty woods and ivory, oil (including sperm oil), and textiles used in manufacturing. Letters from a Mr. M. W. Robinson, in particular, provide information about international shipping, sales, and business transactions. Correspondence from June through December, 1874. These letters are specifically from suppliers about materials and payments. Many are addressed to Mr. Morehouse. |
