This collection is comprised of records of the Wilbraham United Church. The Wilbraham United Church was formed in 1911 by the joining of two established congregations: the First Congregational Church of Wilbraham and the Wilbraham Methodist Episcopal Church. The First Congregational Church of Wilbraham was organized in 1741 and the Methodist Society built their meetinghouse in 1791. In 1877, a fire destroyed the Congregational church and the two denominations first worshipped together. When fire destroyed the re-built Congregational church in 1911, the two denominations joined together permanently. The Wilbraham United Church was officially established in 1914.
