This work is drawn from a collection of 161 photographs that were acquired by the Springfield Museums following their inclusion in the exhibition Game Face: What Does a Female Athlete Look Like? which toured nationally from 2001 through 2006. Depicting everyday athletes and elite competitors, these images offer an expansive and empowering answer to the question posed in the Game Face exhibition title. Tracey Fuchs played field hockey in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and has appeared in a record 187 international field Hockey games.
