Description |
This work is drawn from a collection of 161 photographs that were acquired by the Springfield Museums following their inclusion in the exhibition Game Face: What Does a Female Athlete Look Like? which toured nationally from 2001 through 2006. Depicting everyday athletes and elite competitors, these images offer an expansive and empowering answer to the question posed in the Game Face exhibition title. Holly McPeak played professionally on the beach for ten years and won fifty-four event titles. She has also been awarded five Most Valuable Player awards by her peers. "Pictures can inspire and cause people to dream." - Holly McPeak Photo taken in Atlanta, GA, 1996. |
